OIG Samantha De La Cruz COEHD

As a child, Samantha De La Cruz saw the impact that bilingual teachers had on her education and life. Her experience prompted De La Cruz to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an EC-6 Core Subjects-Bilingual specialization at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi to serve first-generation Hispanic students. The TAMU-CC Office of the Provost has selected De La Cruz as its Outstanding Islander Graduate for the College of Education and Human Development; she will be recognized during the Fall 2022 Commencement Ceremony on Dec. 10.
