The group "Drumpetello" comprised of Music Department faculty members Dr. Mary Thornton, Trumpet, Dr. Carrie Pierce, Cello, and Dr. Matthew McClung, Percussion. Commissioned new music based on Mexican folk tales and tell the stories and play the music to represent the stories. They received a Coastal Bend Community Foundation Grant to take the group to underserved schools in the community through the Performing Arts Center's annual "Bravo! Kids on the Road" series.
